Invitation to the Spring 2016 Amathole Catchment Management Forum
28th September 2016
9:30am – 2:30pm
6 Main Road, Hogsback, Eastern Cape
The Amathole Catchment is a biodiversity hotspot, a high water yield zone and an indigenous forest outpost. From an ecosystem services perspective as well as a biodiversity perspective, this is an important catchment area. Conservation and social development work in the Amathole Catchment region requires coordination of efforts to effectively protect species and their habitats, whilst also ensuring the development and well-being of local communities.
The purpose of the Amathole Catchment Management Forum (ACMF) is to provide a platform where a wide net of stakeholders can engage in catchment conservation, discuss challenges and threats to the Amathole catchment, plan and coordinate to address challenges and threats, build new partnerships and plan ahead for future inputs into catchment management strategies.
As a valued interest group, we would like to invite you to join us at this year’s upcoming ACMF. Please find attached a draft agenda. Amathole Catchment Management Forum (28 September draft Agenda)
