Madiba on Sunday
I would be very grateful if all the HBT readers would alert their staff to a final thanksgiving service for Madiba after his burial on Sunday. We will gather at Jikani at 17:00 – under the outside roof of the “Kraal” if it is raining. We will need lots of candles (and some matches).
The service will be in English and Xhosa and will consist of the singing of Madiba’s favourite hymn “Lisa lis’ idinga lakho” , opportunities for various people to say a few words, prayers, and finally the singing of the National Anthem.
It would be great if we could have most of greater Hogsback there, black and white, to show our deep respect and gratitude for the life of this remarkable man.
Please come, bring a candle or two, and provide transport for your workers if you can. I look forward to a great experience.
Thanks so much.
