Spring Festival Updates
Please welcome the Mounted Police Unit from East London
to Hogsback. We are very fortunate indeed to have them
with us until Monday morning. Whatever you can do to
make them feel welcome is going to increase our chance
to one day have our own Hogsback based unit stationed
We also would like to appeal to you for support of
the East London Blood Bank which will visit us on
Saturday morning at 10:00 am at the Crafters Market.
Please support this worthwhile cause and donate. The
Blood Bank is desperately short of blood and as it is
in our villages spirit to generously advance social
causes please do not let this opportunity pass by.
Orchid Society of East London has
cancelled their attendance at short notice. We are very
sorry to have advertised an event which will not take

Remember that there is a sumptuous Spit Braai on Saturday
evening at 7:00 pm at The Misty Mountain Coffee Barn.

value for R 80, 00 per person. Visit Leslie’s candle
shop and delight in her unusual designs.
On the way up the mountain please do not forget to stop
at “Hidden Away” our Tea Garden run by Hosts Jeanette
and Quinton Dick. Both are well known for their beautiful
setting and Jeanette has a reputation as an excellent
hostess serving Tea/Coffee, buttermilk scones with homemade
Jam, Chicken and Salad Rolls with homemade Ginger Beer,
Jams and Preserves, Lemon Curd, Raw local honey,
strawberries and cream, fudge, home made rusks and
biscuits and all sorts of other local crafts and goodies are for sale.
